First Conference 2011

Date: Thu 16 June - Fri 17 June 2011

Venue: Fondation Universitaire, Rue d'Egmont 11, Brussels

The Annual Conference for the first time convened the LISBOAN network in Brussels on 16th and 17th June 2011 on the topic "Researching Lisbon, Teaching Lisbon: Taking Stock". Its aim was to integrate all partners into the network structures created over the first months of the project under the direction of the Steering Committee. Building on these structures for effective collaboration, the conference also sketched out the project's overall agenda in terms of researching and teaching the Lisbon Treaty. Six of the seven working groups held their first meeting. Keynote speeches were delivered by Jim Cloos, Deputy Director-General in the Council's General Secretariat, and Martin Westlake, Secretary-General of the EU's Economic and Social Affairs Committee.

Please find on the right the conference programme and reports from the individual thematic sessions.
